This standards-aligned center, designed by teachers, promotes deep mathematical thinking and concept modeling through group engagement. With enough materials for up to six students, it supports Cognitively Guided Instruction, encouraging students to choose problem-solving strategies that make sense to them while engaging in hands-on activities and gamified learning. Students use a spinner to move along a path, working collaboratively to calculate and collect remainders to escape before being caught by the beam, fostering teamwork and strategic problem-solving. Skill differentiation is built-in, offering two levels of play with simple, shared instructions. The center is inclusive, accommodating various learning styles, and features downloadable Spanish instructions and dual-language activity mats to support language learners. Its reusable, durable format ensures year-round use, while downloadable assessments help track individual and class progress. This engaging, hands-on center makes skill-building fun as students think, model, and learn!
- GEARED FOR SKILL DIFFERENTIATION: This center was designed by teachers to be standards aligned to Grades 4-5. This Division center offers two levels of play that share common instructions: One-Digit Divisors and Two-Digit Divisors.
