Students Slide Letters and Pictures into Place to Build and Read Words.

Get your students engaged in a fun activity for word families that uses recognizable language and images to focus on different beginning letters for word family phonograms. Each sturdy plastic Word Slider (27 included) provides students with practice building four words with the same phonogram and offers self-checking on the other side. The Word Sliders are conveniently color-coded for vowel groups and feature VC and VCC phonograms that allow young learners to see how letters and sounds combine to build each word. Students move the sliding beginning-letter Sound Card to line up one of the beginning sounds with the phonogram, and then read the word. Next, they move the sliding Picture Card until the image matches the word. Then, to self-check, they turn the Slider over to look for matching symbols indicating a correct answer.

WHAT’S INCLUDED: The Word Sliders: Word Families set includes 27 plastic Word Sliders (4½"" x 6"" each), 1 Instruction Card (5"" by 6½""), and a Storage Box with lid.
