Hands-on Repeated Practice to Help Children Build on Important Reading Skills
This Phonemic Awareness Reading Skills Support Kit is a teacher-developed supplemental curriculum product created to help your child practice and build on important skills such as recognizing letter sounds, blending sounds with blends and digraphs, segmenting sounds into beginning, middle, and end, understanding short and long vowel sounds, and adding or manipulating sounds to make new words. Some of the fun and interactive items in this kit include a Skills Information Sheet in English and Spanish, a dry-erase activity book with a dry erase marker and two decoders, a reference card, a fun and engaging Vowel Domino game, a Magic E Card Game with wands, and a Tap and Blend Long Vowels Card Activity. The materials in this kit provide hands-on repeated practice of these skills supporting Grades 1 – 3 reading skills. Phonemic Awareness skills lay the foundation for a life-long love of reading and writing!
