Use StudentsA Familiarity With Base-10 Blocks To Demonstrate Regrouping On Your Whiteboard
Introduce students to the concept of regrouping while adding and subtracting numbers up to the thousands place. Program the poster with an addition or subtraction problem, then use magnets modeled after familiar base-10 blocks to show students how to regroup to solve the problem. The set includes 27 magnets each of thousands, hundreds, tens, and ones, plus an addition and subtraction sign. The Activity Guide includes supporting reproducibles for practice.
Our magnet and poster sets work when the laminated poster is placed against a magnetically receptive surface. The magnetic pieces hold the poster in place.
In the U.S alone, nearly 30% of educational standards are overhauled, revised or edited each year. Tracking these changes demands the full-time expertise and we have the tool to manage those standards, so you can trust us as the leader in standards alignment. Correlations are made for all State, National, and Common Core Standards. In addition, we have Head Start standards for early childhood. And most recently, we’ve added both National STEM Standards and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).Learn More
