I used a few pages of this book before the 2016 presidential election. I liked the concept of the book. I believe if it were used completely, it would be an okay unit. One of the pages was pulled for a homework assignment. It was page 105, a crossword puzzle. I ran copies and stuck it in my homework file. I distributed it on Tuesday, election day for the students to complete on election night. When they returned it, there was a mob at my desk telling me the mistakes on the page. A word in the word bank was misspelled and the clue to that word was included in the Across clues and should have been in the Down clues.
I realize a teacher should proof what she sends out, but I have never had to proof a published worksheet before. The students where having a great time telling me "my" mistake. I would be proud of my students for finding the errors, but their parents found them. I am very disappointed in Shell Education. Thanks for making my job a whole lot harder by forcing me to proof your work too!
