Excellent writing surface and layout!

The place value mats were very helpful reviewing with my 4th and 5th grade math classes at the beginning of the school year. The students could quickly write and erase a variety of example problems, including decimals, and I could easily check their work for understanding.

Informal Assessment

With a quick glance around the classroom I can evaluate understanding of place value concepts. Above level achievers can use the blank side, average students progress to the blank side, and lower achievers have continual access to the prompts. Works great for whole numbers, decimals, and money. Excellent investment.
