Sadly these only lasted one school year. The paper label on the magnet began to peel off and I was very disappointed I couldn't use them for more than one school year. I ended up letting the kids take them home on the last day of school. Pointless to keep them when they were falling apart.

I use them to group my students for reading and math. I use a sharpie to write their names so they don't smear. I use nail polish remover to erase the names so I can reuse the magnets over and over again.

The students move the backpack to show that they are at school. They think the backpack are so cool, just like they big ones.

I use these to list my ELD student group, but I could use these for any number of student group lists. They are big and colorful, which I like. My only problem was that I had to use a sharpie in order for the students' names to be easily read.

About Me: Teacher
I use these as a system for my students to 'check in' when coming into the classroom in the morning...I have a file cabinet next to the door and as students come in they move their magnetic backpack from the out side to the in side. They also have a place to put their magnetic backpack if they brought their lunch box.
When taking attendance, I just see who has not checked in and I know who is absent. I also can easily see who needs a school lunch
