They work great as a shield, however, the blue dye (we ordered all blue) that comes off on hands and clothes is the reason I rated it a 2. I am very displeased with the amount of dye that transfers to everything. I have to set them up, tell the kids not to touch them, and then go scrub my hands. This all has to be repeated when I take them down. It is quite the hassle.

Invaluable Classroom Tool
In changing schools, I couldn't take my privacy shields with me, so I invested in a new set. Students appreciate being able to create a personal space to reduce distractions and eliminate prying eyes. Some in my last group of third graders even liked to go get shields to use when working independently on writing assignments and journals. I appreciate the option of ordering a single color to avoid color requests. That interrupt the flow of the day. Now everyone will get a soothing blue. Just watch desk placement during testing---they can hit the floor with clumsy elbows.

Part of our daily classroom.
*Individual testing zone
*Daily individual Work Folder center
*Ensures private work
*Decreases opportunities for talking during private work time
*Other teachers come to our grade to "borrow" our "corrals" when they need to do high stakes testing.
*I cover them with a clear contact paper to create a sturdier, longer lasting product
*These fit right into their desks for storage and ease of retrieval!
*Some children have poked holes through the cardboard with pencils, written on them, or used erasers to remove the design.
*When we have our ceiling fans on, they tend to fall off the desk as they get used longer during testing when we spread our desks out more.

Privacy Shields are worth it.
I use this product when my class takes a test. I think the most important thing about this product is that my students feel secure and cheating is not possible when they use the privacy shields. My students sit in groups of 4, so I only provide 2 privacy shields per 4 students. The backside of the shield creates a wall for the student who does not have a privacy shield; therefore, all students feel protected. I am very happy with this purchase.
