PERFECT for a Budding Reader & Writer

I am a former teacher who decided to educate my children at home. I was looking for a response journal for my Kindergartner who is reading. I wanted to reinforce penmanship, locating/understanding titles and authors of books, writing complete sentences and her love of drawing. This journal does all that! I also believe she can use this into the 1st and maybe even 2nd grades. If at some point she seems to feel it is too juvenile for her, I can move her to the literature response journals from Really GOOD stuff! She has a container where I put books that are at her independent reading level along with some that may be of a challenge. Along with these books is her literature journal, some extra paper, pencils and colors. She is drawn to that container every day & I give her freedom of choice within that container. She has gained confidence with her journal and loves to show it off to those who come over. It makes her feel like a big kid!
