Great for formative assessment in reading. Presents well. Well received by administration. Thanks!

My students love this organizational tool. They like writing on index cards and putting their answers in their spots. I use it for reading responses to read-alouds, but plan to also use it for problem of the day, daily oral language, etc.

Quick and Easy

This product is exactly what it says it is. I have used it a couple of times already this school year and it's a great way to incorporate Writing to Learn strategies such as exit slips and quick writes. I can also ask a quick question and, based on their answers, I can get a pretty good idea of who still is struggling with the comprehension skill. I hang it from nails and do not use the magnetic feature. The only think I wish it had were some laminated strips for the question. I I had to laminate my own so that I could reuse them and not waste sentence strips.

Quick and Easy to Evaluate

I have this on my front board. The kids have index cards at their desks. Many times I just have them answer an exit question and put it in their number slot as they line up for specials. I can check quickly who answered it and who understood the lesson. Love it!!!

Easy Way to Assess

I use the chart for my exit slips and formative assessments in all subject areas, not just reading. My students fold a paper in 4 to create a booklet and write their name and the standard on the front. The booklet can then be folded in half to fit in the pocket so you can see the numbers. I am able to collect 7 assessments on each standard. Although I also use index cards, however the larger paper is easier to manage. Students like being able to complete a quick activitiy and it is easy to see when all finish their assessment. I am able to collect all papers in alphabetical order for easy recording once I look at all the responses. I used the chart for one school year already, and I did not experience that much stretching of the plastic, and the magnet held up the chart quite well. It is a great product!
