I have used these pencil holders in my 4th grade room for the past two years. They are part of my classroom store that my students can earn "money" to buy. The kids LOVE these and will often work to earn more than one. They hold the pencils firmly and are soft so that no one can get a scratch or cut. The holders stick well if applied with firm pressure and LEFT ALONE! The only down side is that the sticky part can wear off if the students keep lifting them off and moving them. I bought more this year and will continue to do so.

Just spend the money! Worth it!
My classroom has desks that the top opens, and these work really well. I tried the much cheaper plastic ones and the kids would get cut. Do yourself a favor and just buy these. They are soft rubber-like material that can hold a pencil or a marker. Love them!

Very useful. Just don't let the students rip them off!

Used as toothbrush holders
Dilemma -needed toothbrush storage on a small 1/2 bath. We had been using a mug to hold the families brushes and it was kinda gross that they all jumbled around together and the kids had to take the much out of the cabinet to get their brushes and again to put them back in.....
Solution- I saw these in my son's classroom and knew they'd be perfect. Adhered them vertically to the inside for of the cabinet and they are now more sanitary and ready to reach. I bought extra to use for their intended purpose. My favorite is the one on my calendar/planbook so that I always have access to a pen when I need it!

I have tried others that were cheaper and they have not worked well. Some had sharp edges and even caused little finger cuts. These are so much friendlier and durable. Tried them last year and had a lot of problems with them sticking for longer than a couple of days. This batch has worked much better. Only 1 does not stick. The students use them consistently, and I don't have to hear them saying that they can't find their pencil.
