These Notes Are Excellent!

These notes are great to have on the desks at back to school night! They help give the parents something to do while everyone is getting settled before your overview of the year ahead. The children love to read their parents' notes the next day. For those children who don't have someone in attendance, I write a note to them telling them how happy I am to have him/her in the class.

Nice Idea

I used it for Open House and it was a hit. The Parents loved getting a note from their child and they wrote back. The students were excited to see what their family members wrote to them. I will use them every year from now on.

This was the first year I used this item. I usually have the kids make a cute folder and write a letter. I ask parents to write back on a separate piece of paper. Having the parent response on the same sheet as the student reply seemed like a good idea, however, if you fold it to use as a folder to hold papers or even if you keep it flat and there are other papers on top of the parent side, the parent may not see the place to write back. So be clear. Not sure if I'll use these next year, but it's not a bad product. If I use it again, I might cut them in half. If you just have this paper out on the desk, it's be really great, but I have several things that go home.
