These are much cleaner and less distracting than the tennis balls. My in class support teachers love them too because they reduce the noise level of our larger special education mainstreamed classes.

As a kindergartner teacher, I was looking for something for the students' chairs to reduce the constant scraping sounds on the floor when the students pulled out or pushed in their chairs. I did not like the super bright and bulky look of the tennis balls and read reviews that said they were not durable. I snapped these gliders on very quickly. They look very nice and are hardly noticeable. The chairs do glide easily. I believe they will last for at least two years. I tried the stick on gliders, but they do not last. These gliders are a bit pricey, but worth it for the long run. They also protect the floor from looking scratched up.

As a long fan of tennis balls, these are the best replacement. Because gas is in tennis balls they ae banned in our district. The precut ones do not stay on the chair legs. These are great and last several years.

I've tried the tennis balls, save you're money they don't hold up. I've had a classroom set for 6 months. They still look like new. None have fallen off!
