These were the perfect book pouches for my firsties this past year...or so I thought. I took them home to clean over the summer and was so sad to realize that the inside lining of all the yellow pouches was completely falling apart. It was a very expensive year of pouches. Green, Red and Blue have held up well though.

Medium Book Pouches
I use these with my Reading Recovery students to take books back and forth from school to home. I machine wash them when they get dirty or at least at the end of every year. They wash fairly well and hold up for about 2-3 years.

Durable and practical
I have purchased these book pouches for several years for my 1st graders to take their weekly homework back and forth from school. The homework includes a hardcover book and a paperback "Just Right" book, so it's nice to have these sturdy pouches to hold everything in one place. I started out with the Clearview pouches because I liked the idea of being able to see what was inside, but as it turns out, the plastic that is used for the clearview part of those bags really cracks and falls apart by the end of the year, if not sooner. So I bought these, thinking I could use them for more than one year and save money. The only thing I noticed, however, is that the lighter colored bags (yellow and green mostly) get marked up just with the occasional pencil/pen mark or 1 or 2 kids who write a word here or there. They don't look good enough to re-use. I will be re-using the red and blue, and next time will just order the book pouches in a single, dark color, probably blue.Overall, excellent quality and very

About Me: Quality Oriented
Great for Homework Bags
I use these as homework bags for my students. (3rd-5th grade SDC) My kids are in reading groups by color, which correspond to the 4 colors in the set (red, yellow, green, blue). This makes organization easy. While these bags don't tear to easily, they are really difficult to clean, and at the end of the year I end up throwing away bags because they're just to filthy to hand out the next year. (Some bags last 2 years. Really OCD kids might have bags that last 3 years, since they tend to keep things clean!)
The name labels will occasionally fall out of the large label area, and tape/glue is helpful, but then very hard to remove. Overall, though, this is a product that I depend on quite a bit. I have not always been pleased with the quality of items from RGS, but this is an exception and the reason that I keep coming back to this company.
