Social Media Coordinator

Really Good Stuff (RGS) is looking for a versatile, hard-working, and talented Social Media Coordinator to grow the audience for both RGS and Steve Spangler Science. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn the inner workings of an online media company, including content creation, social media marketing, and video production. You will use your passion for social media strategy and your analytical, creative mind to succeed. RGS is looking for a Social Media Coordinator to create engaging content for both of the company's social media presences, including keeping social media channels updated and brand-focused, and seeking out new social media strategies and ways of connecting with audiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Building and executing social media strategy through research, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification
  • Expertise in managing multiple campaigns across multiple social media platforms
  • Writing, developing, and strategizing online content production and scheduling
  • Editing blog content and scheduling blog posts
  • Engaging with our community across all social channels
  • Assisting with crisis management, bad reviews, and negative feedback
  • Generating, editing, publishing, and sharing content daily (original text, images, video, and HTML)

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years proven experience as a Social Media Coordinator
  • Experience in social media for business in the following social channels: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube and LinkedIn
  • Experience with social media management platform Hootsuite, and other social media programs such as, Canva, Tailwind, and Wordpress
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Experience in paid social advertising is a plus!
  • Self-starter that requires minimal direction and can handle a fast paced environment with tight timelines
  • A healthy obsession with social media, and active accounts across multiple social platforms
  • An ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment

Warehouse Receiving Associate – 2nd Shift

Really Good Stuff – Kansas City, MO

Our Warehouse Associates in Receiving are responsible for product movement through the warehouse and providing complete customer satisfaction through their focus on quality, efficiency and accuracy in shipping our orders to our customers through out the U.S. and Canada.

This position is second shift Monday-Friday with seasonal overtime with shift differential. Initial 90 day performance review period is pay rolled through a staffing agency we partner with. After 90 days qualified candidates are hired as full Really Good Stuff employees and full benefits are offered including medical, dental, vision, life, injury, illness, 14 days of paid time off within first 12 months of employment and paid Holidays.

Essential functions and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Facilitate workflow and quality control of all inbound functions
  • Communicate and follow-up on daily information
  • Support facility and department guidelines, processes, and SOP’s
  • Stocking, inventory control, cycle counts and processing returned goods

Catalog Marketing Manager

Really Good Stuff - Shelton, CT

The Catalog Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting revenue growth goals for Really Good Stuff. This role will work in partnership with Merchandising to identify opportunities and develop integrated marketing solutions for all our products to achieve revenue targets. You will manage and execute on a range of marketing initiatives for all our various channels.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop & execute marketing and sales support plans to achieve sales goals.
  • Manage catalog and digital marketing efforts including social media, email, and website content strategies to meet lead generation and revenue goals.
  • Develop promotions and promotional strategies to maximize sales and profitability
  • Develop content marketing and PR strategies that build our awareness in the marketplace and drives lead generation.
  • Support and expand our tradeshow presence to build stronger brand and product awareness with attendees. Extend the reach of our onsite presence with pre- and post-event marketing.
  • Develop communication materials for prospects including sales collateral, white papers, testimonials and customer case studies
  • Provide marketing direction for full-line catalogs and work with catalog production team to ensure optimal messaging and merchandising.
  • Lead market intelligence efforts to better understand our customer. Utilize that data to help guide our product positioning and communication efforts.
  • Develop and track campaign metrics and ROI analysis.

Here's what you need

  • A minimum of 5-7 years product marketing experience supporting a B2B and B2C sales organization.
  • Experience with lead generation, email outreach and content marketing.
  • Must be organized and have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • High energy, proactive, collaborative and analytical individual with a passion for building businesses.

Product Category Manager

Really Good Stuff - Shelton, CT

This position is responsible for driving revenue to a particular category of products in the education industry by effectively selecting merchandise assortment, overseeing product sourcing/development, pricing strategy, business analysis, trend optimization, and competitive analysis.

Essential functions and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Management of key internal company product lines assigned to maximize contribution. Includes analysis, reporting, planning and liaison with product development.
  • Recommend, develop, and implement product assortments according to market analysis for catalogs and website for proprietary and non-proprietary product. Recommend new test and expansion areas and implement upon approval.
  • Manage product life cycle. Review performance for products to determine which products will be in future catalogs and on the website. Conduct exit strategies where appropriate.
  • Manage product pricing. Provide recommendations for changes in pricing relative to product lines, market place,and margin. Oversee implementation of price changes. Monitor and report on results.
  • Develop reporting to monitor key merchandising initiatives and report accordingly. Utilize data to develop go forward strategies.
  • Analyze industry trends (via trade shows, within Elementary education to understand market dynamics and product needs of the target market.
  • Monitor key competitors in the education marketplace, analyzing product mix, pricing, and merchandising strategy. Report and recommend adjustments accordingly.
  • Partner with and make recommendations to Product Development for products for further research and/or development.
  • Review outside product vendors’ product assortment for inclusion in product mix.
  • Work closely with Category Coordinators on how to properly merchandise key assortment of products in both the catalog and web.
  • Responsible for meeting all deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in product or brand management function. Knowledge of catalog and web merchandising a plus
  • Proven analytical and business planning skills.
  • Strong communication (both verbal and written), analytical, organizational, and time management skills are essential.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to gain support and commitment of others to achieve common goals.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Able to make timely decisions, anticipate problems and provide creative solutions.
