Make Personal Connections, Identify Text Elements, Summarize, Predict, And Ask Questions

This fun game guides students through literature and informational text, prompting them to identify various text elements, use evidence to support their reasoning, analyze text features, summarize, and more. Students sit opposite one another and try to fill the spaces on their side of the mat by answering questions about text. With 30 questions each for literature and informational text, students engage with the text differently each time they play. After the game, they select 3 questions to analyze using the graphic organizer on the mats and record their responses on the reproducible graphic organizer. Included are 6 pieces of text: 3 literature and 3 informational text.
