Encourage Correct Finger Position For Better Handwriting Skills

This is the perfect tool for young students who cup their hands over traditional grips in an attempt to avoid proper finger placement. Each latex-free grip features three shallow, attached cups that hold the thumb, index, and middle fingers in a comfortable tripod grasp so students can focus on proper handwriting rather than on the mechanics of holding the pencil. Included in each package are 3 of Three sizes to insure a good fit for all little hands and fingers and will accommodate pencils, pens, crayons, and markers.

Highly Recommend!

I use this with children in Kindergarten who are struggling with going from the palmer grasp to the more complex tripod grip. I suggest ordering different sizes. After one student uses one the others want one too, so I keep them available for all students. The only problem is keeping a supply! I wish RGS would stock them in large quantities at a lower price. This is the best 'gizmo' going!

Comments

My daughter had difficulty writing, but after using the small claws her writing improved. She used them for a little while to learn to position her hand and now she hardly ever uses them. The occupation therapist at my daughters school uses them, and suggest using them with a half pencil.
