How It Works:
A student selects one of the strips, reads the word on it, then folds the end of the strip over to show the “e”, and reads the new word.
Then the short vowel word and the transformed silent e word are both written on the recording sheet. The student then determines whether or not this new word is a real word.If it is not it is crossed out.
Continue the activity until all the strips have been read. Helps students meet grade-level expectations and prepare fo rstandardized testing.
