Dessert Day Helps Sweeten Student-Teacher Relationships.

Dessert Day Helps Sweeten Student-Teacher Relationships.
Idea by Lorraine, Preschool Teacher, Vestal, New York:

When I taught elementary school, I loved setting aside one day a week as Dessert Day. For this day, I would pick 2 or 3 student's names out of the box and invite them to lunch with me. My students would eat their regular lunches, and I would provide a healthy, yet fun, dessert for us to share. We could talk about their interest, or anything they wanted to talk about. It helped me to get to know the students better. I got to meet with each student a few times throughout the school year.
