This is a great tool to help my younger students solve their problems. It is a bit pricey for what you receive. It may be more economical to make your own.

My first grade students love "Tommy Turtle"! Those that have trouble writing are encouraged to draw a picture and write as much as they can.

I began using the "Tattling Turtle," when my first graders had difficulties with solving disagreements on their own. This product took me out of the immediate problem, thus, allowing my students to work some things out on their own!!

This complete package (basket, turtle, marker, index cards, and poster) saves time in the school day and helps to dissipate negative feelings. Children know that serious problems need the teacher's immediate attention; however, routine complaints and tattling can be written down and told to the turtle at a center. Once the complaint is written down, the primary child seems to get over it and can focus on her learning. I love this product!

Tattling turtle is a great tool to save the teacher from having to listen to all the complaints and issues that crop up every day. I have my turtle in the corner of the room and the children know that they can go and write a note to the turtle to complain, whine, "tattle", vent etc. I do read these at the end of the day just to make sure that I don't have issues to deal with. There are at least 3-4 notes most days, but I no longer have to listen to tattling. I just say "go tell tattling turtle".

The tattling turtle is a great tool to utilize with children of all elementary ages. The students love telling the tattling turtle about their problems.
