Social Media Manager

We are looking for an experienced Social Media Manager to engage and connect with our audience on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and other emerging social media sites. You will help build awareness of Really Good Stuff within our target audience and drive traffic to our website properties. You will accomplish this by providing the editorial vision and proactive leadership in ensuring a voice consistent with our “brand values”. This position will rely heavily on creativity and ingenuity; and will work closely with teams within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • You’ll set the path for the brand’s social media editorial voice, purpose, and calendars for marketing efforts
  • Ensure content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice
  • Utilize various channel mix including blog and PR levers to create awareness of marketing messages, services and products in an authentic way
  • Own and manage development of the social media content calendar, maintaining proactive posting schedule.
  • Engage with customers on a daily basis; with the ultimate goal of turning fans into customers.
  • Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video and written).
  • Identify and create programs and promotions targeting community growth and engagement.
  • Listen, respond, and engage audiences to cultivate organic engagement.
  • Work closely with both SEO and merchandising managers to ensure alignment of product & content strategies across Really Good Stuff platforms (social and website).
  • Establish and foster relationships with online influencers to get more advocates for the brand.
  • Tabulate and record metrics for measurement and reporting dashboards (e.g., number of comments, shares, post-level "Likes”, “follows”, views, subscriptions, sentiment, etc.).
  • Contribute to marketing meetings to ensure coordination of the social media editorial calendar

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of professional level social media/content marketing experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferably in Marketing, Advertising or Public Relations.
  • Previous background in Education and/or teaching is HIGHLY preferred.
  • Knowledge of analytics, tracking and social media monitoring tools is required
  • Up-to-date with the latest advances in digital media (social media, mobile, PR, etc.)
  • Experience with successful, paid, social promotions and/or campaigns is a plus
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong sense of initiative, accountability and ownership
  • Excellent communication and writing skills are essential
  • Well-organized, with a track record of proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously and effectively

Product Development Manager

We are looking for a creative Product Development Manager! Under the general supervision of the Product Development Director, this person manages the development, design, and implementation of new products for the educational market.

Essential functions and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage product development efforts for grades levels Pre-K through 5th.
  • Collaborate with Product Development Director to formulate products that should be developed.
  • Partner with Category Manager to translate product strategy into details specifications that will lead to products that meet that need. Work closely to ensure strong future product development.
  • Execute all product development efforts in conjunction with published departmental calendar to meet all deadlines.
  • Develop and present new concepts for product development consideration for primary and early childhood grades based on outside research, teacher panel feedback, and teacher suggestions.
  • Collaborate with department members to develop the best execution for products as well as provides direction to the department on product usages, benefits and design direction.
  • Work with Product Management (Sourcing), Creative Services and QA to ensure that accurate product development, goals are achieved, and business risks are minimized.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of product and identify opportunities for improved margin, lower costs and extended product life.
  • Oversee customer research, including surveys, advisory panel, and local teacher panels.
  • Determine if outside resources are needed and manage freelance projects.
  • Monitor education trends through a variety of avenues including: review of competitors, TPT, educational magazines, blogs, and volunteering in a classroom a few times per year. Additionally, attend trade shows and/or educational seminars. Seek opportunities for continued professional development.
  • Monitor and reviews competitor's efforts via catalog, web, and ancillary promotions.
  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding of the products throughout the company.

Qualifications:

  • BS or BA Degree in education or related field with a minimum of 3 years teaching experience in elementary education.
  • Strong pedagogical understanding - an understanding of how students learn and best practices in instruction.
  • Experience in product development a plus.
  • Strong organizational, time management and communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Strong writing skills
  • Must be detail oriented, motivated and self-disciplined
  • Must have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects with rapidly shifting priorities

Warehouse Order Processing/ Floor Supervisor - Day Shift (M - F)

Really Good Stuff – Kansas City, MO

Our Warehouse Order Processing Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating order processing. Provide complete customer satisfaction with quality, efficiency and accuracy in shipping orders to our customers through the U.S. and Canada.

Essential functions and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage the workflow and quality control of all order processing
  • Actively participate in preventing and correcting errors (audits, coaching, feedback, etc.)
  • Innovative thinking: seeks operational improvements; able to resolve operational problems; adapts to procedural changes
  • Provide technical support to team
  • Communicate and follow-up on daily information
  • Support facility and department guidelines, processes, and SOP’s
  • Provide day-to-day communication and support to manager and team
  • Support and drive the department’s goals and strategies
  • Some record keeping, reporting skills required
  • Makes personnel recommendations to HR & Managers
  • Monitors environment for safety, cleanliness and conformance to Company standards
  • Performs administrative duties such as attendance records, overtime, employee breaks, etc.
Typical work schedules are Mon-Fri – Day Shift. Seasonal overtime will be required as well as flexibility in scheduling.

Qualifications:

  • Previous warehouse or distribution center experience required
  • The ability to lead and teach others, as well as promote team work
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Good customer service skills and a sense of urgency
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to perform work quickly and accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to focus on the task at hand
  • Be a leader in continuous improvement activities
  • Strong organizational, time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance

Knowledge & Education: Solid knowledge of general warehouse procedures and skills required. The ability to read, understand and utilize both RF scanners and computers. A high school graduate with some college course work preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook are required; exposure to an AS400 is a plus. Basic mathematical skills and the ability to read English are required.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: Adequate mobility to continually walk and stand; pull orders from various shelf heights; and the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. The ability to access all areas of the facility. Noise level for this environment is moderate.
